A presentation of Certificate awards to graduates of the Horizon 2020 ‘Meeting of Energy professional Skills’ (MEnS) NZEB upskilling programme for building design professionals was organised at St. Lawrence Hall, DIT, Grangegorman campus.

 

Awards were presented by Professor Gerry Farrell, Dean and Director of the DIT College of Engineering & Built Environment.

 

The event was addressed by the eminent industry guest speakers- Carole Pollard, President of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI); Jim Gannon, CEO Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI); Sean Armstrong, Technical Advisor, Building Standards Section, DoHPCLG who spoke about the challenges and opportunities presented by the Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) building performance standard.

Sheikh Zuhaib from the nZEB-Retrofit team was among the 63 graduates who received the award at the ceremony.
